International Christian Wellness Conference Bringing Professionals Together

If you are a Christ-centered fitness or wellness professional or just interested in faith and fitness, then plan to attend the inaugural International Christian Wellness Conference (ICWC) September 12-15, 2013 in Phoenix, Arizona. The conference is focused on the theme Connect, Learn and Grow.
ICWC offers participants the opportunity to learn from Christian fitness and wellness experts, make connections, share experiences and challenges and grow in their relationship with God. The conference brings together a Vendor Expo, a diverse seminar schedule covering topics in nutrition, faith and fitness, exercise sessions, mentoring and fellowship opportunities, Christian worship services, as well as regional community building. Regional community building connects participants in the same geographical area, to create a stronger regional support network when the conference comes to an end.
Presenters include: Jimmy Peña as keynote, Brooke Boon, Alisa Keeton, Julz Arney, Rachel Z. Davis, The ReFit girls (Angela Beeler, Catherine Bower and Emily Field), Lynn Rogala, Rachel Bergman, Nikol Major, Christina Mroz, Jonnie Goodmanson, Lisa Souba, Megan Burns, Amy Turner, Jill Fisk and Luke Connor.

Additionally, the conference meets the needs of personal trainers and instructors by providing the following:

 

- AFAA continuing education credits of at least .75 CEs will be offered for all of our sessions. Lectures will offer 1.5 AFAA CEs. - ACE has approved ICWC for continuing education credits. Attendees will receive .9 CEU's for the conference regardless of what session they choose within each time slot. - Yoga Alliance (YA) credits will also be offered for select sessions.

The 2013 International Christian Wellness conference is held at the Embassy Suites Biltmore in the Phoenix, Arizona area. In addition to the wide-range of sessions the conference includes:
- Welcome Reception on Thursday Evening
- Sit-down dinner with Keynote Jimmy Peña on Friday
- Deluxe accommodation (double occupancy required)
- Bible Studies by thought-provoking ministry leaders
- praise and worship
- Regional community building

Doing business in the fitness industry is challenging. It requires knowledge, skill, resources and determination. The ICWC provides opportunities for participants to gather together and build relationships with those who are or who have faced similar hardships such as self-doubt, financial hurdles and more.
